Problem

Audio quality or video problems are occurring while using MaX UC Desktop or MaX UC Mobile.

Solution

Desktop

Try the following to resolve any audio or video issues you may be experiencing on MaX UC Desktop.

  • Problems with audio and video may occur if you have poor network connectivity. If you are using wireless, verify that you have a strong signal between your device and your wireless access point.
  • You can test your microphone and camera by going to Tools > Options > Audio or Video.
  • Audio ducking is a Windows feature that lowers a PC's volume when a VoIP call is occurring. If you notice that making/receiving calls on MaX UC Desktop makes the PC's volume very quiet, you can turn off audio ducking using the steps below.
    1. Go to Sound Settings.
    2. Select Sound Control Panel then Communications.
    3. Set When Windows detects communications activity to Do nothing.
