Your channels appear choppy, pixelated, or scrambled.
If your live TV video is coming through choppy or pixelated, try the following:
- Start by determining how many set-top boxes are currently in use. If you are running multiple STBs start by turning off any that aren’t in use and see if the picture quality improves. A set-top box will be off when it has a red power light.
- Determine if multiple recordings are taking place on your DVR service. If so try stopping any unnecessary recordings.
- Try rebooting your set-top box by unplugging power from it for 15-30 seconds and then plugging it back in. Wait for the STB to fully boot and then check video quality again.
- Reboot your switch and or DSL modem by unplugging power for 15-30 seconds and then plugging it back in. Wait for the devices to boot up and check your TV again.
